dédié à l'identification des Perturbateurs Endocriniens
Go take your lessons in nature, that's where our future is.
Our commitment, our ethics, our entrepreneurship are motivated by the fact that a balanced endocrine system is of the utmost importance in the relationship between a human being and nature.
OUR STORY
As experts of The French National Natural History Museum (MNHN), our job consisted of studying the fundamental role of the endocrine system in the development and functioning of human physiology which is conserved throughout the evolution of species.
THE BEGINNING OF THE ADVENTURE
At the beginning of the 2000s we were contacted by industrial companies who suspected that endocrine disruptors would become a major environmental and health issue in the coming years. These companies set us a huge challenge: to develop reliable, rapid and simple to use tests. With the strict limitation that we must provide tests that are carried out on whole vertebrate organisms to bring a strong weight of evidence and that they must be an alternative to protected animal testing.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE TESTS
It took many years to develop tests based on the 3 main endocrine axis : thyroid, estrogenic and androgenic.
Furthermore, our test protocols take advantage of whole organisms by revealing steroidogenic mechanisms
THE INCEPTION OF LABORATORY WATCHFROG
After this first stage of methodology development, we created Laboratoire Watchfrog in order to industrialize testing processes and to offer routine solutions for assessing endocrine activity of samples.
For over 14 years we provide our customers with reliable, ethical and easy to interpret tests
